Weigh-in #1

So it was weigh in day today. As you can see above I had a pretty good loss. It wasn't as big as I expected though, as my scales at home were reflecting a bigger loss. But I also had a 0.7lb gain overnight. I have been 100% on plan so not sure why I had a gain. But gains can happen for many reasons so I am not worrying about it.

The drive to the meeting was kind of interesting. First of all I saw my second coyote. He was beautiful. He was about 30 feet from the road and was just standing in the middle of a field watching me drive past. His coat was thick and he looked a lot healthier than the first one I saw. I know they are not loved by many people but I think they are beautiful.

The meeting was ok. They are a lot shorter and not as involved as the ones I am used to. The people are mostly much older than me and tend to keep within their own groups. I forgot to take my water and banana with me so I was starving and thirsty the whole time.

But I am down 3.2lbs (1.4kg) and I am pretty happy about that!

Weight n stuff

So this morning would have been my 1st week's weigh in at Weight Watchers if it wasn't for the lovely snow and ice that shut everything down.

So I don't know my official loss this week because I didn't weigh myself at home on the day I went to join.

I weighed in on the Wii Fit this afternoon after I had lunch and I have lost 11 pounds (5kg) since I last used it! So that's pretty good! I am guessing I lost about 5 pounds (2.2kg) this week going by the scales. Not to shabby!

The plan has actually been really easy to follow. My main problem is actually eating all my points. I never used to eat during the day so that is something that I am changing. Plus drinking more water/fluids.

Well I am hoping for a really good week 2 and a REALLY big loss on the scales next week!

OMG! I can't believe I haven't posted this already!

It's really silly and lame!

Weight Watchers

So I did it. I joined Weight Watchers this morning! And not only that, I DROVE myself there! All by myself.

So there it is. My weight. 201 pounds (91kg). My scales here at home are different to the ones at the meeting, they say I am 198 pounds (90kg). The heaviest I got to was 210 pounds (95kg) a few months ago. I did get down to 194 pounds (88kg) on my scales here at home but lately I had been a bit naughty and gained a few pounds back.

This is the heaviest I have ever been. It's really depressing. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I am home all the time. I have never gone this long without working in my life, except when I was in school. Even when Ashley was a baby I worked part time. So I get bored very easily. I don't get out of the house much as the nights Billy works he sleeps pretty much all day. Then on his days off we run around like crazy people trying to get everything done so it's all over the place.

But back to the weight. My ultimate goal is to get into my healthy weight range, which for my height is between 117 pounds (53kg) and 146 pounds (66kg). Being a girl with natural curves I would prefer to be around the middle somewhere, Billy doesn't want me to lose certain parts of my anatomy, if you get my drift! hehe

So anyway the Weight Watchers plan is WAY different to what I am used to. For one you get more points per day, secondly all fresh fruit is ZERO points! Even banana's! Which shocked me! Also on top of your daily points allowance you get 49 weekly points O_o  ... I still don't fully understand it myself. But I don't think I am planning on using them unless I have a special occasion or something (or lunch at Olive Garden! haha)

After I got home from the meeting I woke up Billy and we went to the grocery store so I could stock up on healthy food. I got a bunch or fruit and vegies and some other stuff.

What I ate/drank today:

Early Grey Tea with 1% milk and 2 sugars - 2 points

Lunch:
Whole-wheat sandwich thins - 3 points
1 tbs whipped cream cheese - 0 points (I don't know if I believe that)
4 slices of ham - 2 points
Sierra Mist can - 4 points (I will be cutting back on these for sure!!!)

Dinner:
I piece of salmon - 3 points
Baked potato with sour cream, cheese and bacon bits - 5.5 points
Black eyed peas - 2 points
Zucchini & mushrooms - 0 points
Allow for oil that potatoes and fish were cooked with - 1 point

Snacks:
Apple - 0 Points
Banana & walnut oatmeal with 1% milk - 5 points

So out of my 30 points allowance I still have 3 left. But I don't want to eat anything else.

First LO of 2011

Here is my first of hopefully MANY layouts of 2011. I promised my mother-in-law a scrapbook LAST Christmas and I have been terrible at making it so one of my resolutions this year is to actually make it for her.

It only took me like 2 hours to do it because I am the worst procrastinator on the planet! I kept changing my mind about the paper and colours etc. But I am fairly happy with the outcome. It doesn't look anything like the awesome layouts I see coming from seasoned scrapbookers but this is really only my 4th from scrap layout I have made so I think it's pretty good.

2011

So it's a new year and one of my resolutions is to blog more. So hopefully that is one I will be able to keep. A few others I have managed to stick to so far, even though it has only been 3 days!

2010 was an interesting year. It had it's highs and lows. The biggest high was the excitement that we might get a new house, but that also became the biggest low, with our land and the new house not appraising for enough to get the loan.

A few other things happened that even though they were upsetting and hurtful at the time, have made life actually better in the long run. I have learnt who my true friends are and that I don't have to keep people in my life if I don't want to. That I have complete control of my feelings and that people can only hurt them if I allow them too.

So 2011 is going to be about me. I am going to be joining Weight Watchers tomorrow morning. So weightloss will play a large part in my blog from now one too. I have already lost around 15 pounds on my own but gained about 4 back over Christmas. Weight Watchers always worked well for me so I am going to do it again. It might also help me to meet people and also just get out of the house for an hour or so.

I am also planning on restarting my 365 project again. This year I plan on starting it on my 35th birthday in March. Hopefully this time I can do a whole year.
