I have been following a food blog for a few years now and recently I noticed she has been writing about Macarons:

Not to be confused with Macaroons.

So I was intrigued of course. I love food and trying new things so I asked around and found out that there was a French Patisserie in Charlotte that sold them. So today my friend Andrea took me into Charlotte so I could get some to try.

I bought 1 of each flavour that they had, except for cinnamon, I am not a fan. I brought them home with me and tried them after my dinner, which was a salad as I didn't want to spoil my Weight Watchers on these things.

Here are the ones I got:

From front left: Mixed berry, pistachio, lemon, orange and strawberry.

They were slightly smaller than an Oreo cookie. I was shocked at how small they were. They only cost $1.19 each.

In all honesty though, there weren't that great. They weren't awful but I wasn't blown away by them. The lemon was probably the nicest but I don't think I would be rushing out to buy them again. Plus I am kind of ticked off I wasted points on them.

ETA: I forgot to add how they tasted etc. The texture of them on the outside was crispy, almost flakey. The inside was soft and moist. The ones with the cream inside were nicer, the others had a jam like filling, which I found too sweet.
