Weigh-in 30/08

Photobucket

Can you believe that! I lost another pound! I was honestly expecting a gain. My scales here at home are schizophrenic here lately so I can't rely on them to give me a good idea.

So I am one happy lady! Only 1.4lb till I hit my 40lb loss mark!

Well well

So I have been bad. Not crazy insane bad, but not good either.

I stopped tracking on Saturday and haven't since. That's 3 days without tracking. That is the longest I have gone without tracking since I joined back in January.

Naughty, naughty, naughty.

Saturday I could forgive myself for. I went out with friends and had a great time. Which is something I don't get to do often, a girls night full of laughter and fun. So I didn't care about the food and alcohol I consumed BUT I swore I would be back on track the next day. And I kind of was, but I didn't track and ended up eating really late because I had felt sick all afternoon and evening and couldn't eat.

Then today I just said Screw it and made really naughty roast potatoes to go with the chicken I cooked and I ate a tonne of them.

I have weigh-in tomorrow and I am not too stressed. I am about 95% sure I will have a gain. Now I am not happy about it at all. But shit happens. Life happens. Sometimes I can't be 100% perfect Miss Always Tracking.

But I am a little disappointed in myself. Which is good. I need to be otherwise it would be so easy not to get back on that wagon.

So hitch me up, I'm getting back on.

Great friends and really naughty food!

This afternoon my friend Andrea was having a Scentsy party at her house and it had been ages since I had seen her and Delinda who is our Scentsy lady, who moved a few hours away last year so I just had to go. It was a great afternoon and it became even better when Andrea invited me out to dinner with them all tonight.

We went to a tavern in Concord, Afton Tavern which was SO GOOD! The food was delicious and the staff were really great. BUT the best thing was the company. It had been so long since I had a really good girls night out and man I have missed them. These ladies are absolutely wonderful and hilarious! I met a couple of ladies I had never met before and they were just fantastic! I want to do this every weekend! Seriously I had a BLAST!

I also consumed so many calories/points that I couldn't even tell you. Let's list it all shall we.

2 bottles of Guinness
big steak with broccoli
piece of Key Lime pie
liqueur coffee (OMG YUM!)

Plus some tastes off other peoples plates.

But you know what. I don't care. I had such a great night that I really couldn't care if I gain weight from it this week. I needed a girls night out so bad that I would eat double that if I had to!

Also I am a little tipsy right now! It doesn't take much these days!

Earth Fare

So this week at my Weight Watchers meeting my leader came up to me and told me she found this great new store in Huntersville. She said it was Whole Foods. I had heard of them before and was excited they had opened a store sort of close by. I promptly looked it up when I got home. And I couldn't find it anywhere! I went onto the WF website and Googled it to no avail. It took me till the next day to realise it wasn't Whole Foods at all, but a different chain called Earth Fare.

I did some research and found out they are a local company, founded right here in NC. So I was really excited! A local company that promises good quality products. So I spoke to Billy about it and we decided we would head there on his next day off, which happened to be today.

Yesterday I signed up on their website and printed off a couple of coupons, 1 for a free chicken when we spend $10 or more and $1 per pound chicken breast fillets. Those were pretty darn good deals!

So we headed off this afternoon. It was a bit of a drive. Roughly 40 minutes in good traffic. Plus on Billy's least favourite interstate, 77. But we got there and at first I was really excited. Until I saw the prices. My jaw dropped! It was so expensive. An example, a whole pineapple there was $5.99. The highest anywhere else I have seen them sell for is $3. Almost everything else was like that.

We did do pretty well with what we got though. First of all the free chicken:

IMG_2995

This is no small chicken either. And it was free, well with a $10 purchase, but still, a pretty good deal.

Then we got some skinless, boneless chicken breast for $1 a pound, the price came off at the register.

IMG_2999

The one thing I was surprised to see was the Chobani greek yogurt was only $1.18 a tub there, I haven't seen it that cheap anywhere else. So I grabbed a couple.

IMG_2985

I also grabbed some apples cause I have no fruit in the house, except bananas. These apples were about $1 a pound more than I normally pay.

IMG_2989

We were having trouble finding stuff to buy to make up the $10 as everything just seemed so over priced to us. We ended up grabbing a pack of the sushi from the dining area.

IMG_2982

Now I have to say their salad bar looked DELISH but again, very over priced. We don't earn a lot of money so this kind of place is really out of our budget. Trader Joe's is right on the limit for us. Even then there are things we just don't buy from there.

I am really bummed that my hopes for this place were shot down. I am not complaining about their quality. Everything we saw looked fantastic, just our of our budget.

The thing is, we don't care about organic. That's not what I was after. I want good, fresh produce. Not stuff that has been sitting in a warehouse cold store for weeks. I think we might need to suss out the Farmer's Markets down in Concord.

Thoughts:

So I went over my calories but not my points. It's those 0 point foods I tell ya! No exercise again. I am feeling like poop at the moment. Not sick just TOM and a bit of the blahs. Billy has been a bit worried about me, asking what is wrong etc cause I haven't been myself. The thing that sucks is I can't give him an answer because I don't know. I just feel blah. PMS isn't helping matters. I was a cranky demon bitch from hell today.

Some good news though, I think I have found somewhere even more awesome than Trader Joe's. It's called Earth Fare and they just opened a store kind of close to us. When I say close it's about the same distance as Trader Joe's but in a different area. I am going to try to talk Billy into taking me there asap!

Thoughts:

Today was my weigh-in day so everything resets. I decided because I was tired and PMSing that today would be my splurge day. I was starving all day so I ate when I wanted to. I dipped into some of my weeklies and I am totally fine with that.

That what they are there for!

Silly boy!

Last week I was making myself lunch and I had cut the mesh bag the avocados had come in and put it aside. Ashley came out to see what I was doing and proceeded to do this:

IMG_2251

I lost it! The things this boy does sometimes just cracks me up. I quickly grabbed my camera and took a few photos of him. Of course he hammed it up for the photos.

He really needs a shave!

IMG_2252

Tsk tsk!

Yes I have been a bad blogger!

I have been good with my eating just bad at blogging it. But I hope that this week I will be better. I won't promise cause I am sure I will slack off again soon! hehehe

I will be posting some photo posts tonight though!

Weigh-in is tomorrow. At all counts I should have a prety good loss, however the lovely monthly visitor is here today so I am thinking it might not be a great loss in the morning once the bloating takes hold. I am already starting to feel a bit swollen. Booooo! Stupid hormones! Whoever thought of them needs a smack!

Thoughts:

So I went over my calories today. I actually didn't realise I had until I was writing this and realised I hadn't logged the bread I had with breakfast. I had tracked it on my WW tracker but not on My Fitness Pal. I was still under my points by 5 points though! So weird how that works. Free fruit... free fruit.

Anyway I had the EXACT same thing for dinner tonight because it was just so good last night! Billy has tomorrow night off so not sure what I will make for dinner. We havn't had salmon in a while. Might pick some up.

Another progress photo

That first photo is one I found recently that I think I look ENORMOUS in! I didn't even know it existed! I found it on Billy's pc and was horrified! But then I thought about how far I had come from there and that I wasn't ashamed to share it anymore. Because that isn't me. And it never will be again.

I got Billy to take that second photo last week when I was getting ready to head out to dinner at Tsunami's. I thought what I was wearing would show my figure better.

I still have a ways to go and I really need to work on toning up. My arms are horrid! Plus I need a tan!

Here is what I actually wore to dinner, I wouldn't go out in spaghetti straps! It was under my top. This was taken with my phone so excuse the poor quality etc

Thoughts:

I had really been craving tacos here recently and I had seen some people online talking about tostadas and how they spread them with fat free refried beans and make like a little taco pizza with them. So today while we were at Food Lion I picked some up and tried it for dinner. IT WAS GOOD! And the cool thing about the tostadas is that they start out crunchy but once you put the beans and cheese on them and then put them under the grill they go a little soft, but not mushy so you can fold them over like a taco. I used some of the TJ's peach salsa cause I didn't have anything else and I was worried it wouldn't be good but it was so good! I think I might have them for lunch tomorrow!
